Meetings 2010/2011

Sept 13th: Paul Procter

Paul is building a great reputation as a skilled fly-fisherman and fly-tyer. When he is not fishing in places such as Bosnia, Slovenia, Poland, Iceland, Mexico ..... he can be found writing his regular article for the Trout & Salmon and Trout Fisherman magazines.

He will be coming to Effingham in September to give an illustrated talk entitled "Brown Trout in the Dales".

Oct 11th: Philip White

Philip has over 50 years experience in fly-fishing including over 20 years as a river keeper. He has several DVDs to his name and will be showing us the 'White Way' of fly-fishing and tying. 

Nov 1st: An International Flydresser will be intercepted on his way home from the British Fly Fair International - watch this space!

Dec 13th: Quiz and social evening

Saltwater Fly-Fishing at Hayling Island

Vic Abbott says it is now a great time for fly-fishing for bass and mackerel at Hayling Island.

If anyone would like to give it a go, give Vic a call on 01932 241833 and he will tell you all about it.

Flydressing Classes

The 'Modest Magician' John Smith will again be holding his popular flydressing classes at Ripley Village Hall.

Starting in the Autumn, with the 1st session on Friday September 24th.

Meetings start at 7.30 pm.

To join Surrey Branch simply come along to one of our meetings and introduce yourself (the first visit is totally free and without obligation). There are no entry qualifications, you don't have to be an expert fly-tier. An interest in fly-fishing and fly-tying is all that is required.
